Marta Tobeñas, PhD, HSPP
Dr. Marta Maria Tobeñas is a licensed clinical psychologist who works with children,
adolescents, adults, and families. Dr. Tobeñas completed her APA-approved internship at Park
Center, Inc. in Fort Wayne, IN, where she provided therapy in individual and group settings
using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She then completed her post-doctoral training at
Meridian Psychological Associates, P.C. in Indianapolis, IN. There, she saw individuals and
families and treated depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, bipolar disorder, adjustment
disorders, dissociative disorders, personality disorders, gender dysphoria, and Attention-
Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). At both locations, she provided psychological testing
services including intelligence, achievement, ADHD, memory, and personality testing.
Dr. Tobeñas has worked in private practice, community mental health centers, and integrative
care facilities with multidisciplinary teams of medical and psychosocial professionals seeing
patients of all ages and backgrounds. She utilizes an integrative approach, based on patient
needs, pulling from cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, trauma-informed, object
relations, and psychodynamic models of psychotherapy.
Dr. Tobeñas is a native speaker of English and a heritage speaker of Spanish. She has
intermediate knowledge of American Sign Language and an understanding of Deaf culture and
advocacy issues she hopes to bring to her practice in Carmel, IN.
